Dr. Amgad Riad, DVM
Dr. Amgad Riad, owner of Cornerstone Veterinary Services, started his journey in December of 2018 with aspirations to offer something to clients that others did not by making them the “cornerstone” of his dream and operation. Dr. Riad loves what he does and is excited to continue to grow with his company as well as grow a great relationship with his clients.
Dr. Riad obtained his undergrad and doctorate degrees at the Cairo University in Egypt and later completed the United States licensing process through AVMA after moving to the U.S. Dr. Riad grew up in Cairo, Egypt with his parents and six siblings. When he was younger, Dr. Riad enjoyed playing soccer and doing anything outdoors. When asked why he wanted to be a veterinarian, Dr. Riad says “it was just God’s plan for me.”
Dr. Riad now resides in Indiana with his wife, Amal whom he has known since they were kids, and their two children, Giorgio and Marco. Together they enjoy spending time as a family and traveling. Dr. Riad enjoys spending his time hunting and fishing, but also enjoys watching sports games and playing soccer with his boys. Dr. Riad hopes to continue to grow his business while making sure family values are the “cornerstone” of Cornerstone Veterinary Services.
Dr. Bruce Frederick, DVM
Dr. Bruce Frederick joined the Cornerstone family in July of 2020 with a dream of expanding his knowledge and exploring new paths while continuing to specialize in advanced reproductive technologies. Dr. Frederick looks forward to analyzing his potential and engaging with clients while working with their animals.
Dr. Frederick obtained his undergrad at Penn State and afterwards went to vet school at The Ohio State University. Dr Frederick grew up in western Pennsylvania with his parents and four brothers. When he was younger, Dr. Frederick enjoyed showing livestock through his local 4-H chapter where his dream of becoming a veterinarian began. One of the calves he showed was an embryo calf and while watching the veterinarian, Dr. Frederick recalls thinking, “That’s cool! I want to do that.”
He later met his wife Sarah while showing livestock and they currently reside in Ohio along with their two dogs, Jack and Kimba. Sarah is an elementary school teacher and works side by side with Dr. Frederick on the farm in the evenings. Together Dr. Frederick and his wife enjoy spending time with family, hunting, and raising their own livestock. Their hope is to one day expand their livestock operations with ground of their own to allow for more space to grow in what they love.
